University of Texas Alumni at Target HQ, Target Corporation – Founder and Lead Social Chair

January 2017 – Present

  • Spearhead Longhorn events for interns and full-time team members who are currently attending or are alumni of the University of Texas at Austin, including lunches, happy hours, brunches, and other events around the cities
  • Recruit students from the University of Texas at Austin for Target’s Marketing Development program at on-campus career fairs and recruiting events and by meeting with candidates who fly to headquarters to interview

  • Planned resourcefully with a limited budget numerous social and work events for 120 interns at Target HQ

Asian Business Council, Target Corporation – Leadership Commitee

  • Assisted in planning and logistics of a case competition hosted for UCLA students
  • Debriefed the case competition and audited the planning, process, and results of the case comp in an effort to iterate and improve next year’s event
  • In the process of being handed over leadership of the annual case competition

Target Corporation + FAIR School Reading Buddies – Reading Buddy

  • Read weekly with an assigned third grader weekly at an urban school in Minneapolis
  • Exhibit patience and instill confidence in my buddy, who reads below her grade level

  • Planned community service event to accomodate 40 volunteers to beautify local sculpture garden
  • Designed and coordinated a comprehensive and entertaining rush process which recruited 60 potential brothers for the fraternity
  • Organized a formal event at a five star hotel to accommodate 120 guests alongside entertainment and three-course dinner
  • Developed and managed a 1,000 water balloon fight to raise funds of $600 and awareness for breast cancer
  • Implemented fundraising activities, which included bake sales and auctions, to raise over $5,000 in three weeks
  • Presented a weekly PowerPoint to recognize individual brothers for achievements and provided awards

Student Health Advisory Committee – Historian (Fall 2013)

  • Organized successful social events such as dinners and bowling nights for over 35 members
  • Updated and regulated the organization’s social media, including Facebook page, Twitter account, and Tumblr blog to keep members informed and to provide information for external contacts

  • Managed booths and tables at on-campus fairs to increase knowledge and awareness of University Health Services
